The New Us

Welcome to OC Optometry Group, formerly Dr. Matsuyama’s office.  I have been with Dr. Dave for 18 years, followed by the beloved Ed with 16 years.  We have seen many of your children grow up, marry and even have children of their own.  It has truly been a pleasure to witness these life changes with you.

Having said that, I would like to share a little about our new staff.  I could not have asked for a better group of women to move forward with.  While I had great anxiety about losing my former teammates, I am so pleased by the talents and spirit of my new teammates.  Dr. Ali has the kindness and patience of Dr. Matsuyama with modern sensibilities of all the latest and greatest of product.  Dr. Tsay is very thorough and considers every angle to ensure the best prescriptions.  Lauren has been tremendous in dispensing and repairs.  Her knowledge of insurances has allowed us to accept more policies.  You will not find anyone kinder than Toshi.  Her smile and phone manners are unbeatable.  She has applied herself to learning Silhouette repairs and is our new “go to gal”.  Finally, we have sweet Jessica.  She is exploring a field in optometry and is eager to learn every aspect of the office.  No task is too challenging for her.

So this is the new us.  We are OC Optometry Group.  Thank you for your many years of support.  We look forward to continuing to work with you and sharing our new chapter with you.

Lisa Dao Lisa has been with the practice for over 18 years, has over 30 years optometric experience, and is the most senior team member. She knows every detail of every patient, both on an optical and on a personal level. She is our Lead Optician and responsible for day-to-day operations and our high quality of customer service. Her sense of glasses, frame style, and individual fit is impeccable. Patients frequently request her opinion on a certain frame and also inquire into Lisa’s own wide collection of frames.
